This farm to fork teacher tour will allow K-12 educators to gain first-hand knowledge and experience with every step of the farm to school process. Attendees will meet third generation turkey farmers at Ferndale Market near Cannon Falls and hear about their efforts to supply high-quality protein to schools across Minnesota. We’ll also visit Lorentz Meats to see how livestock animals are processed into products that are served in school meal programs. Waxwing Farm will host the group and demonstrate their fruit and veggie growing process and provide a few samples and taste tests. This food-focused teacher tour is one you will not want to miss!
